Traveling by Ground

Okaloosa Island directions aren’t even really necessary! Long-running main roads make driving easy in and out of Northwest Florida and Okaloosa Island. Visitors nationwide flock to the island year-round, here are a few of the easiest ways to reach Okaloosa Island, Florida by car. *Okaloosa Island is only accessible by bridge on the east and west end of the island

From the West

I-10 runs across the American south and almost directly through Okaloosa Island. If heading east down I-10 towards Okaloosa Island, get off at exit 31 and head south down SR87. Once you reach Highway 98, make a left to head east, and continue to Okaloosa Island.

From the East

The only way to reach Okaloosa Island from the east is through Destin, Florida. Destin can be reach from the North down Highway 293 (Mid-Bay Bridge Road), and from the East on Highway 98.
