Okaloosa Island vacationers have the luxury of participating in not one, but TWO incredible holiday spectacles. Destin celebrates its 31st Annual 4th of July celebration with Fireworks over the Harbor, and 4th of July at the Landing is Downtown Fort Walton Beach’s premier patriotic party. The 4th attracts thousands of visitors by offering some of the top fireworks displays in the south. 4th of July on Okaloosa Island is just weeks away, so let’s go over the top things to do on Okaloosa Island for the 4th of July!

Home to such soirees as Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival and Concerts at the Landing, the Landing is Downtown Fort Walton Beach’s go-to waterfront venue. America’s birthday celebration kicks off at 5pm with a star-spangled opening ceremony. This is a FREE event with food, drink, games, and live entertainment until 10pm!

Additional Details: The opening ceremony begins at 5pm. Enjoy music from “Show Me Dragon” and “NAKD”, as well as FREE kids games and activities. Also available to guests is a FREE park & ride shuttle service with stops at the FWB City Hall and Uptown Station!

So what’s happening in the Destin Harbor for the 4th of July? At 6pm, the celebration begins with live entertainment, free kids crafts, face painting, and more. A vintage flyover of World War II-era planes is a true patriotic treat, and a fitting intro for the fireworks beginning at 9pm. Along with Harbor dining, games, and sights, 4th of July 2017 is gearing up to be quite an event!
